One of the required classes in the industrial design department at Notre Dame is Design Solid Modeling (DSM), where you learn how to use Solidworks and Keyshot to create the forms somewhere other than on drawings. Many of the projects were just creating pre-existing objects, but some also called for us to design our own and then create them using Solidworks.
