Walk a Dog is an at-home underwater treadmill designed for dogs healing from injuries, more specifically ACL tears. It was designed in late 2021 and was a 4-month long project. With this project, I was able to pick any consumer group I liked, do consumer research, and then come up with an insight to design a product for. I chose disabled dogs, and through my research, I found out that ACL tears were the most common injury in dogs. However, many of them were not getting the rehabilitation that they needed to heal without risk of reinjury. With my product, I hope to lower the number of dogs that get injured again by allowing their owners more access to their necessary rehabilitation.
